While many still recover from 2017’s storms, climate trends indicate another year of disrupting weather, and hurricane season starts in two weeks.

According to The Weather Company, there will an above average hurricane season with “13 named storms throughout” this season, “including six hurricanes and two major hurricanes of Category 3 or greater intensity.” This is important to you for a couple of reasons.

With 2018’s storm predictions being above average from previous years, preparedness is of the utmost importance when it comes to your customers. Having a plan in place will provide both you and your customers with peace of mind as we descend into this year’s hurricane season.

It’s predicted that there will be an influx of customers residing on the East Coast and near the Gulf of Mexico in need of emergency services including roadside assistance. Does your business have an emergency plan in place? Are you certain your roadside provider is prepared?

It’s important to note where your roadside call centers are located in the case of evacuations, power outages, and flooding. VAS has five redundant call centers spanning from Arizona, Massachusetts, Florida, to Tennessee. If our East Coast call centers were evacuated in the case of an emergency, we are prepared with three additional call centers in order to service customers in other parts of the country.

At VAS, we are in the business of keeping people safe, and we’re ready to protect your customers in the case of natural disaster in 2018.
